Lego Cake!

I think I might want a pink one for my next birthday:)




Those are candy-covered Oreos. (Plus a random brownie cookie on the plate that was there for snack purposes only.) Unfortunately, when large amounts of blue color paste are added all at once to candy melts, the melted melts (too redundant??) seize up and form into a play-doh like consistency. So, we just formed them around the cookie instead of dipping them.

This was a joint effort between a friend and I. We had limited time and kitchen space, so we made short work of the cake. Next time, we want to do a red layer, yellow layer, then the blue layer with the "lego tops" to make it look like multi-colored stacked blocks.

Well, off to do more Spring Break!
