- Cool, early morning temps that are great for running and soft breezes blowing in the fresh air after having the house closed up for 2 weeks!
- The scent of yellow cake baking...and the fact that there will be plenty of snacking leftovers due to an error the first time around. At first I was stressed about it, but now it just means more for us!
- Bike rides with my Dad on vacation last week.
- Almost 2 weeks of summer vacation left...going to try and soak up every last minute with my kids.
- A birthday celebration with friends (for me!)
- Playdates for all kids (3, count 'em) yesterday where everyone played nicely and then ended up at the park. We got to see families we hadn't seen in awhile due to everyone being on vacation at various times - so much fun to catch up!
- A quiet trip to Target (for essentials) and Michael's last night after dinner - my head is spinning with all kinds of cake/cookie/candy ideas that I can't wait to try!
- Crock-pots...for what will be a busy afternoon
- Slow, lazy mornings - a fair trade-off for the busy second half of the day.
